Disposal of excess race premiums:
Premium items (shirts, hats, visors, socks, etc.)
are under the control of the race director for the period from purchase
to 60 days after the race. At that time the items come under
the control of the PRA Treasurer. The Treasurer will attempt
to dispose of these items at a reasonable price that the market
will bear. After a one year period,
the treasurer will dispose of the remaining inventory to a church
mission or charity that will use the items at an out-of-town location.
If no church or charity can be found, the treasurer will dispose
of the items as he/she feels is the best method of disposal.
Bib #1:
The number 1 bib is reserved for Fenner McConnell
at all PRA races.
Running under a ficticious name:
Important Note: Questions have been raised
in the past about runners registering for a PRA race under a ficticious
name. After checking with national running organizations,
our insurance provider, other running clubs and coaches , the board
has come up with the following answer to the questions.
Policy: The PRA does not advocate the use of fictitious names during
our races because
such names create the potential for confusing and delaying results
and the possibility of delaying care and/or notifications in the
case of medical emergencies.
However, the PRA will not establish a policy to detect, disqualify,
or ban an individual for using a fictitious name while registering
for our races. The PRA will attempt to discourage the use of fictitious
names by only acknowledging the person by the name they are registered
under.
If they should win an award, the award will be presented under the
registered name and all race results will reflect the fictitious
name. It is each individual runner's responsibility to be respectful
and considerate toward his/her fellow racers.
This policy applies to fictitious names, only. Racing under a false
age, sex or name used to gain advantage in a race will result in
disqualification from the race.

Addition: The volume and
quality of comments on the ficticious name issue has prompted the
PRA board to develop rules for posting messages on the
PRA bulletin board.

listed below will be deleted.
A. Contains language which would not
be appropriate on prime time network television (Networks such

contains an attack plus other discussion material, it will be deleted
and a replacement message from the
bulletin board moderator will be inserted indicating it replaces
a part of a deleted message and the material is open for discussion.
C. Use of words or language which may be
offensive to the moral standards of this community, i.e. use
of words or statement referring to religious beliefs.
