2013 GRAND PRIX SERIES INFORMATION

What :

The 2013 Grand Prix season will consist of eight (7) PRA races.

REGISTRATION
Registration ends February 9, 2013. NO ENTRIES WILL BE ALLOWED AFTER THIS DATE!!!
RULES
In order to qualify, entrants need to complete a minimum of 5 PRA races during the season and 1 of these must be long runs (over 5K). The PRA Grand Prix point system for the Age Group categories is 100 pts for 1st place, 90 pts for 2nd place... through 10 pts for 10th place.
Anyone who officially race directs, coordinates, or volunteers at any of the PRA races will receive 71 'volunteer' points for that run. Participation in that race will also count towards the "frequent racer" award.
Grand Prix participants who do not win their age category, but register for and complete at least 5 of the 8 PRA races during the season will also receive a "frequent racer" award similar, if not the same, as the age group awards.
AWARDS
The great part about the PRA Grand Prix is that there is no additional fee to register and everyone has a chance to win a great award:
- AGE GROUP: 1st place winners will receive a very nice customized prize/award*
- FREQUENT RACER: Participants who do not win their age category, but register for and complete at least 5 of the PRA races during the season, will receive a “frequent racer” prize/award similar to the (if not the same) as the age group prize/awards*.
- GRAND PRIZE RAFFLES: Each time you register and participate in a PRA race as a Grand Prix member, you are credited with one raffle ticket for a grand prize to be given out with the Grand Prix awards at the Pensacola Beach Run In January. One raffle prize will be given out to a runner and one will be given out to a volunteer. So even if you can’t run, but help out, you have the opportunity to win. (Only one prize will be given out per person so if you ran and volunteer, you can only win one of the raffles). These will be quality raffle prizes*!!!
* We reserve the right to change the prize/award as necessary.
